The 90s rave and hippy vibe is back with a vengeance, a welcome breath of fresh air in a murky economic environment.
It is also the kick-off to the music festivals season with a good dose of denim cut offs and paisley tops , so we only saw it right to re-interpret Boho Chic for city-wear.

Paisley shirt by Zara, faded customised and studded pastel pink jeans. Taupe satchel by Dissona and gladiator silver sandals by Sergio Rossi
We’ve teamed a roll-up sleeve collarless blouse in a fresh blue paisley print from Zara, with a 3 chain brass necklace with spikes from Aldo Accessories and a pair of home-made bleached pink jeans.
After all if you’re a bohemian at heart, DIY must run in your veins.
We’ve taken a pair of dark pink jeans from Zara which we had previously tie-bleached last summer (see post about how to tie-bleach here) and given them a good 3 day soak in bleach to give them the faded pink pastel colour. We then added a touch of grunge attitude by sewing a mixture of oxidised silver and brass studs onto the edges of all 5 pockets and ripped the front by scratching the fabric in several places with a paper cutter.
Just roll up the hems and wear with silver gladiator sandals for a day out in the city. This look does smell like boho chic spirit.
