SUF edits REISS Fall 2012 Collection

After a very long summer of fluorescent hues and high-octane colour-block outfits , we are excited and drooling over the new trends of Fall 2012: black leather, dark red as the new neutral, soothing baby blue, cream and white as well as Sequins and baroque styling for day.

Top high-street brand Reiss has come back this season with key directional fashion looks inspired from the catwalks and London Street-style, all with superior tailoring, high-quality materials and exciting designs to wear day and night.

While the brand is highly favoured by Kate Middleton for body-con yet lady-like dresses, City-girls and high-powered executives resort to Reiss for impeccable business attire. This season Reiss is determined to seduce the fiercest of fashionistas around the world by offering a polished look suitable for girls who are inspired by expensive designer brands such as Chloe, Derek Lam and Celine.

Combining androgynous silhouettes with the 90s glamour of mixing daywear into evening wear, we are loving the sophisticated colour palettes that range from the romantic infusion of prints with decadent textures to luxury neutrals and the new much-sought after palette of red wine and paprika.

Here’s what we are coveting:

Reiss asked Style Under Fire to pick its favourite looks from the new Fall 2012 collection and to add our own styling ideas to help work the key pieces harder.

We’re also going to wear an animal print shirt and glossy jeans with Reiss’ Sea Foam blue wool coat for dinner.

The coolest way to wear sequins is to take Reiss’ sequined shorts from night to day with a fur gilet or a parka:

About styleunderfire

I am a thirty-something British - Lebanese Marketing professional, having lived between Beirut, London and recently Dubai, with an eclectic mix of style, influenced by my travels, my multilingual affiliations and more importantly my passion for fashion and design. I have decided to create this blog first and foremost out of love for fashion and to maybe help you find cool ideas that will inspire your own style. If you're looking for a safe style bible that will not disrupt your current wardrobe's contents, I would invite you and urge you to change your perspective : perhaps a fuschia jacket will look appropriate at the office, or a sequined skirt can be worn during the day. This is why I called this blog Style Under Fire: because we will be putting unsual wardrobe items and beauty products and routines literally... in the line of fire, for you to get the best out of what the fashion and beauty world have to offer. If you're thinking by now that this will just be an expose of my fashion exploits, you'd better watch out for my curious lens as I am constantly looking for uber-stylish people with a flair for creating unique wardrobes and the ability to inject old pieces with a new edge. I will be quite simply raiding your closet, because great finds have to be shared! Wherever you live and whatever your views and feelings are towards fashion, I hope that you will be inspired by my treasure hunts...
