ValleyDez boutique and PR guru Rosemin Manji hosted the tea party of the season to welcome to our Dubai shores the designer duo behind cool London brand Paper London. Known for its strong emphasis on colour and structured shapes, Paper London is a far cry from the usual brands catering to the Middle East, free from bling and embellishments, the brand offers a pared-down aesthetic that focuses on innovative cuts and volume, all proudly made in London.
The SS15 collection included pieces that were exclusive to ValleyDez boutique, a Dubai-born concept which showcases a unique selection of some of the most stylish collections of clothing and accessories available in the city. Featuring renowned and upcoming international brands as well as local designers, the boutique boasts a selection of the most unique brands, exclusive to the UAE.
We met the duo behind Paper London, designer Kelly Townsend and managing director Philippa Thackeray, who were very happy to meet their Dubai customers and were looking forward to some sun-tanning sessions. Interestingly, Paper London enjoys a very large following in the Middle East especially in KSA and is looking forward to expanding further in the region.
We set our eyes on the striped column dress that Rosemin was wearing , the strapless yellow folded dress , the short one shouldered striped dress and a set of orange culottes and striped cropped top.
We wore to the event, a pastel outfit reminiscent of London’s tea parties: a pair of pink culottes by Finders Keepers , a lemon yellow crop top from Topshop, white stilettos by Sophia Webster, Yellow PS11 purse by Proenza Schouler and a necklace by JCrew.
