In another ode to French Designer Isabel Marant , we have taken a good look at the Spring Summer 2014 collection and found a few ways to wear her looks for a fraction of the price , by finding high-street alternatives to her designs.
We love her clothes so much that we can go on and on trying to mimic every single piece on the runway. We kept it simple with a few tops and tried to team them with shorts and accessories that just echo boho chic. In this post we will show you 3 daytime looks based on: the charcoal ruffled top , the statement sweatshirt , shorts in a variety of styles and boho chic jewellery.
In this outfit below , we teamed a slate grey cotton top by Mango with a boyfriend cut for shorts by Stradivarius, a beaded belt from the Isabel Marant for H&M collection, strings of African beads bought on holiday in Zanzibar and red Converse shoes to run around town in.
The second outfit shows a more neutral take on the boho ethnic feel, by teaming the Mango top with tribal print shorts by JCrew , studded tan sandals by River Island and a vintage blush pink studded hobo bag by Sara Berman.
Last but not least , we took Isabel’s own signature sweatshirt and leather combo and paired it down to Dubai- friendly temperatures with a slogan sweatshirt “I’m not a Unicorn” by Pull and Bear , leather shorts by The Kooples (shop similar by Helmut Lang), a vintage satchel by Vanessa Bruno (circa 2002) and metallic wedge sneakers to elongate the legs.
Next post, we will play with some night-time downtown looks.
