With Art season kicking off in Dubai , we found ourselves growing tired of dresses, especially when you have to attend so many social events in a row. The trouble with dresses, although they are extremely easy to wear, is that you are bound to find the same ones on at least one other fashionable guest.
Top that with the fact that there are only so many times you can wear a dress, we found Self Portrait’s new range of lace-trimmed off-the-shoulder tops extremely versatile. For a western or gypsy look, we loved pairing this off-the-shoulder black top with a fringe midi skirt by Maje and strappy delicate sandals by Miu Miu (sold out, see below Carousel for shopping alternatives).
The best thing about the top-skirt combo is that you don’t have to worry about a fluctuating waistline, because a top will always cleverly cover up any bloating. Alternatively this top looks great tucked inside a high waisted lace skirt or with a pencil skirt or leather leggings.
When the temperatures soar up, go for the cream version of this Self Portrait top and a fringed cream skirt.
